Rissa Bartholomew's Declaration of Independence by Lynda B. Comerford
Eleven year old Rissa Barhtolomew has had the same friends for her whole life. She has four friends, Beth White, Jayne Littleton, Kerry McGrew, and Angel Franzetti. She would call Beth her best friend, because their mother's were best friends, and Beth and Rissa were born on the same day , in the same hospital, in the same ward. But when Beth starts wanting to be called Bethany, she starts to get annoyed, especialy when all her friends start getting obsessed with boys, make-up, and malls. When Beth's mother plans Rissa's party which is shared with Beth, Rissa makes up her mind to make new and different friends. Will this be as easy as Rissa thinks? And will Beth and the others realize that they lost a good friend? Read this great book to find out!!
